Can I use AI coding tools?

Yes, encouraged. Use Cursor, Claude, Copilot, whatever you want. We don't care how you build it. We care what you build and whether you understand what you built.

What tech stack should I use?

Whatever you want. We use Next.js, Python, and various AI frameworks internally, but we're judging the outcome, not the stack.

Do I need marketing experience?

You need marketing understanding, not necessarily experience. Read the "Read This First" section on the main page carefully. If you get why marketing problems are interesting, that comes through in your submission.

Can I submit something I've already built?

It should be built or substantially modified for this contest. We want to see how you think about marketing problems specifically.

Is remote work OK?

Yes, but you need meaningful overlap with East Coast business hours.

What's the compensation for the role?

Competitive and discussed during the finalist interview. The $5K prize is in addition to your salary.

What happens to my submission if I don't win?

You keep full ownership. We don't claim any IP on non-winning submissions.

Can a team submit?

No, individual submissions only.

What does "working demo" mean? Does it have to be deployed?

It needs to be demonstrable. A live URL is ideal. A Loom walkthrough of it running locally is also fine. Screenshots or mockups are not.
